I am currently reading Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, about Daniel Burnham, architect, and H.H. Holmes, serial killer, and their separate involvements in the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. I've always been intrigued by World's Fairs, and the unveiling of its details outlined in the tales of these two men make the majesty and monstrosity of such a gigantic event seem almost unreal.
I came across this print by Julia Swaney of Oh My Cavalier today, and it reminded me of the book for a bunch of reasons. Thought I'd share. :)
